Special guide
Natsuki Kubo (calligrapher/artist)
Born in 1984 in Hokkaido, Natsuki began studying calligraphy from the age of 7, under the tutelage of illustrious calligrapher Zuiho Sato. She received honourable mentions at the All-Hokkaido Calligraphy Competition, the International Contemporary Calligraphy Competition
In 2014, Natsuki was invited to Chicago five times as an artist in residence, participating in both group and special exhibitions at various galleries, the Japanese Consulate in Chicago, and the CBRE Building lobby.
Natsuki also had success in live performances, such as at Links Hall, where she appeared in a three-day collaborative performance with musicians and dancers. Her works are displayed at many of the luxury hotels in Niseko, and she is widely considered one of Hokkaido's leading artists.
